Celebration

A wedding night in full voice. Musicians, dancers and a bird in mid-song are broken into planes of vermilion, turmeric and ochre, then gathered inside a single gold ring, the circle of the mandap and of the community around it. Celebration borrows the language of cubism and fills it with the sound of an Indian festivity.

पूरे सुर में गूँजती एक शादी की रात। वादक, नर्तक और गाती हुई एक चिड़िया सिंदूरी, हल्दी और गेरुए रंग के खंडों में बँटकर एक सुनहरे वृत्त में समा जाते हैं, जो मंडप का भी घेरा है और उसके चारों ओर जुटे समुदाय का भी। "सेलिब्रेशन" क्यूबिज़्म की भाषा लेकर उसमें भारतीय उत्सव की ध्वनि भर देती है।

Une nuit de noces à pleine voix. Musiciens, danseuses et un oiseau en plein chant se fragmentent en plans de vermillon, de curcuma et d’ocre, puis se rassemblent dans un seul anneau d’or : le cercle du mandap et de la communauté qui l’entoure. Celebration emprunte le langage du cubisme et le remplit du son d’une fête indienne.

ليلة عرس بكامل صوتها. يتفكك العازفون والراقصات وطائرٌ في منتصف تغريده إلى مساحات من القرمزي والكركمي والمغرة، ثم يجتمعون داخل حلقة ذهبية واحدة: دائرة المنصّة وجماعة الأهل من حولها. تستعير «احتفال» لغة التكعيبية وتملؤها بأصوات عيد هندي.
